Qué tal estáis?
Yo estoy contento y quiero compartirlo con vosotros mediante este post esporádico y breve.
En el último post de fecha 1 de diciembre os comenté que estaba ilusionado (junto con Iñaki, podéis seguirle en su blog Vivir con Mr. Parkinson) con un proyecto bonito y ambicioso, basado en difundir la enfermedad de Parkinson en un evento muy mediático.
Lo más importante del proyecto es que pudimos contar con uno de los altavoces más potentes que existe, el clásico del futbol en nuestro país, un partido de la Liga entre el F.C. Barcelona y su eterno rival, el Real Madrid. Cuando le expliqué al Barça la idea de encontrarme con Iñaki (a quien conocía virtualmente pero no presencialmente) con motivo del clásico y para mostrar al mundo que puede haber rivalidades relevantes (la futbolística lo es, en nuestra cultura) pero con máximo fair play y respeto, en este caso entre personas que sufren y conviven con una enfermedad grave que les da fuerza y les une en muchísimas otras inquietudes, no dudaron ni un segundo en escucharnos y ayudarnos.
Era complicado pero nuestra enorme ilusión junto con la sensibilidad y predisposición total ofrecida por el Club, lo hicieron posible. Y es por ello que quiero agradecer (queremos, dado que Iñaki siente lo mismo que yo) al Club la oportunidad que nos ha dado, a su Presidente, al responsable de comunicación, al responsable de contenidos y al editor de la web y a todos y cada uno de los profesionales de Barça TV que nos atendieron y ayudaron y entre todos, lograron que nuestra ilusión, nuestro proyecto de difundir la enfermedad, fuera una realidad.
Iñaki y yo, a pesar de nuestra rivalidad futbolística, nos conocimos y nos dimos un fuerte abrazo que simbolizó un fair play absoluto, en nuestra lucha y convivencia con esta maldita enfermedad, haciendo realidad lo que dice Iñaki, que “juntos somos un equipo”, complementamos la fuerza de uno con el temple y experiencia del otro, complementamos el corazón con la cabeza.
Y no hay que olvidar que luego los “detalles” fueron coherentes con el fair play, un partido igualado, hubo un empate en el último suspiro y el consiguiente reparto de puntos, y eso es lo que quedará para la historia una vez se enfríen los distintos y múltiples puntos de vista que pueda haber sobre el encuentro.
Habrá otro en abril, en el estadio Santiago Bernabéu, con motivo del partido de vuelta. Sin duda, estoy seguro que también contaremos con la sensibilidad y predisposición del Real Madrid, pero hoy dejadme que agradezca especialmente a Mark Hall, consejero delegado del Grupo HSBC en España, la amable y cariñosa invitación que ya nos ha hecho para asistir a dicho partido.
Me dijeron hace pocos días que la ciencia avanza más rápido que la enfermedad. Pues yo, como paciente, tengo dudas, porque los dolores y rigidez que tengo han aumentado y lo que más me preocupa es la aparición de las fases “off” desde hace ya 5 o 6 semanas y mi dificultad para caminar y para mantener el equilibrio. Necesitamos que la investigación acelere aún más, que la Sociedad entienda aún mejor esta enfermedad y necesitamos que, todo el que pueda, haga un esfuerzo y ponga su granito de arena en forma de donación a cualquiera de las entidades que se ocupan de investigar cómo frenar y/o curar la enfermedad. Se acercan maratones, fiestas familiares entrañables, momentos idóneos para pensar 30 segundos en todos (no solo en los que padecemos Parkinson) aquellos que sufren enfermedades crónicas, enfermedades graves, etc. y plantearse si se puede colaborar en ayudarles de la forma que cada uno considere.

I am happy and I want to share it through this sporadic and brief post.
In the last post dated December 1 I commented that I was excited (along with Iñaki, you can follow in his blog Vivir con Mr. Parkinson) with a beautiful and ambitious project, based on spreading Parkinson’s disease in a very media event.
The most important thing of the project is that we could count on one of the most powerful speakers that exists, the classic football in our country, a League game between the F.C. Barcelona and its eternal rival, Real Madrid. When I explained to Barca the idea of meeting Iñaki (whom I knew virtually but not presencially) because of the classic and to show the world that there may be relevant rivalries (football is, in our culture) but with maximum fair play and Respect, in this case between people who suffer and live with a serious illness that gives them strength and unites them in many other concerns, did not hesitate for a second to listen and help us.
It was complicated but our enormous illusion together with the sensibility and total predisposition offered by the Club, made it possible. And that is why I want to thank (as Iñaki feels the same as I do) to the Club for the opportunity it has given us, its President, the communication officer, the content manager and the editor of the website and all Each of the Barça TV professionals who assisted us and helped us and all of us, made our illusion, our project to spread the disease, a reality.
Iñaki and I, despite our football rivalry, met and gave us a strong hug that symbolized an absolute fair play, in our struggle and coexistence with this damn disease, making reality what Iñaki says, that «together we are a team» , we complement one’s strength with the temperament and experience of the other, complement the heart with the brain.
And it should not be forgotten that the «details» were consistent with fair play, a match that was even, there was a tie and points distribution, and that is what will remain for the story once the different and multiple points of view that there may be about the meeting.
There will be another match in April, at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium, on the occasion of the second leg. Without a doubt, I am sure that we will also have the sensibility and predisposition of Real Madrid, but let me now thank the spanish HSBC Group Management (thaks a lot, to Mark Hall as its CEO) for the very kind invitation that he has already made us to attend this match.
Somebody told me a few days ago that science is advancing faster than disease. Well, as a patient, I have doubts, because the pains and stiffness that I have increased and what most worries me is the appearance of the phases «off» for 5 or 6 weeks and my difficulty walking and maintaining balance .
We need the research to accelerate even further, that the Society understands this disease even better, and we need everyone who can, make an effort and put their money in the form of a donation to any of the entities that are in charge of investigating how to stop and / or cure the disease. Approximate «TV marathons», family parties, ideal moments to think 30 seconds in all (not only those who suffer from Parkinson) those who suffer chronic diseases, serious diseases, etc., and consider whether you can collaborate in helping them in the way that each one considers.
